About Us
Mission Statement
To lead people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christ-like maturity, equip them for ministry in the church and their life mission in the world in order to magnify God’s name. NHCC has adopted the purpose-driven model from Saddleback Community Church. Our focus is to move people from the Community, to the Crowd, to the Congregation, to the Committed and the core. Our system of growth is Membership (Class 101), Maturity (Class 201), Ministry (Class 301) and Mission (Class 401).
Core Values
Submission to Jesus’ sovereignty is the key to life. The Bible is our “manual” for life. It is God’s inspired word and it is our final authority. God has called all human beings into a “grace relationship” through salvation in Jesus Christ. The Church must remain culturally relevant through practical application of God’s word. Small groups foster spiritual growth and accountability. We exist to serve those who are missing from God’s family. Unity around God’s purposes results in His blessin
Vision
To become a Regional Ministry Center. Our goal is to minister to the spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs. The second half addition of the building is approximately 8,000 square feet, complete with meeting space, teen rec room, a community room and a kitchen. It is known as The Harby Center, named after the former land owners of the property. The Harby Center is a “community center” facility. It has been used by/for Weight Watcher, Girl Scouts, Alternative to Violence Program (AVP), wedding showers, baby showers, birthday parties, fund raisers, community-wide Easter breakfast and many more events. For more information about The Harby Center, contact Darlene Conkling at (607) 865-7101.Check Out the Opportunities - Last Call
NHCC is offering a variety of small study groups this Fall. Each study group is
designed to help you improve your spiritual focus and provides an opportunity to
get to know others in the church family.
Here are some of the topics being offered:
A. Study of the Old Testament Covenants
B. Living Beyond Yourself
C. What Christians Believe and Why?
D. Fasting from Wrong Thinking
All of these studies provide life-changing scripturally based knowledge that will
help you in your spiritual walk. These groups will meet at different days, times
and places providing you a maximum opportunity to participate. We know what
you are thinking.....I am already too busy and my weekly calendar is already full.
So pray about it and take stock of your week and factor more "God time" into it.
We also recommend that you only attempt to participate in one group at a time.
This lets you focus your time and reading to one area. Other groups will be
offered throughout the year. Please check out current study group opportunities
at the Information Table in the Foyer. Space is limited.
