Dedication of the Harby Center

What a day of celebration it was when The Harby Center was dedicated on September 30, 2007!  The cost was $650,000 plus all the volunteer labor.  It was done debt-free.  Supt. David Harvey spoke that morning and in the afternoon dedication service.

When the leadership of NHCC planned this part of the building, they had a “vision” on how it could be used to connect with the community.  The commercial grade kitchen would make large scale events possible.  The actual meeting space would allow for events like anniversary parties, birthday parties, fund-raising meals, fellowship meals, funeral gatherings, training events and other meetings.

Stephen Covey says everything is created twice.  It’s first created in the mind and heart.  It’s having a sense of “vision” of what could be.  The second time it is created is when it actually comes into existence.  Credit goes to the leadership team and building ministry team for their foresight to create it twice!
