Youth Ministries
He commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands. Psalm 78:5-7
Through the years, the church family has made it a priority to invest in our youth. Our goal was to expose them to as many ministry events as possible. The church was laying a foundation that would imprint their spiritual development to lead Godly lives.
252 Kids
Under the New York State Release Time Law, students are allowed 1 hour of religious education during the school week.
Deb Ackerly is the leader of the grades 1-5, known as 252 Kids (based on Luke 2:52). Students are bussed over from Townsend Elementary.
XP3
The Middle School / High School religious education program is known as XP3 (based on Matthew 22:37-40). Students walk from the O’Neill High School and Mack Middle School. Youth are shown working at a BBQ and Bake Sale.

Middle School Youth Group
Middle School Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m.
Youth Leaders include Jake Beach, TJ Tweedie and Jen Bartlett, along with an amazing group of parents and grandparents who prepare food on a regular basis!
High School Youth Group
High School Youth Group meets on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m.
Youth Service
The High School Youth Group have joined with the Middle School Youth Group to lead the morning worship services.
Never The Same Conference
The youth have attended a Never The Same Conference at Houghton College during the summer. It’s been a life-changing experience where they have committed or recommitted their lives to Christ. They also help out with the pancake tent at the Delaware County Fair, support missions project in difference parts of the world, and serve in various roles at the church and in the community.
FMYC
The church sponsored some of our youth to go to FMYC (Free Methodist Youth Conference) in Colorado on three different occasions (2013, 2017 and 2022). The 2017 theme was Relentless. They worshipped, learned God’s Word and met hundreds of other teens. It was a life-changing experience for them! For some, it was the first time they owned their faith and for others, a first-time commitment to Christ.
Youth Summit
The Free Methodist Youth Summit (held in conjunction with General Conference – 2018) in Orlando, FL. God did a great work in the lives of the teens. They are the next generation of spiritual leaders.
REVERB
Students have attended a REVERB outreach event in Binghamton, NY. The Reverb Youth Conference most commonly refers to Word of Life Reverb, a large-scale Christian event for teenagers. It features evangelistic rallies, guest speakers, and late-night activities like games and sports
See you at the Pole
Youth participate in See You at the Pole, an annual, student-led prayer gathering where Christian students meet at their school flagpoles before classes begin.
Children’s Day
Children’s Day is a special service or day of worship that honors young people, celebrates their place in the faith community, and highlights the value of raising them in Christian teachings. It often features kids leading parts of the service, special baptisms, or dedicated blessings.
VBS
Vacation Bible School (VBS) program for children features Bible lessons, music, crafts, and games, typically held for a week during the summer
Youth Praise Team
