Groundbreaking Ceremony

The East and Shepard Street property groundbreaking ceremony was held at a District Meeting on Sunday morning, January 10, 1948.  The District Superintendent, L.R. Guier presided, assisted by A.L. Payne (pastor at Ferndale, NY) and H.D. Olver, Jr. (pastor at Maplecrest, NY), who offered the prayer, and S.T. Wolfe, the oldest living member and trustee, who turned the first shovelful of earth.
